Points to note when starting high voltage motors
(1) If the motor does not rotate after the power is turned on, the power should be cut off immediately, never hesitate to wait, and never check the motor fault with electricity, otherwise it will burn the motor and be dangerous.
(2) When starting, you should observe the working condition of the motor, transmission device and load machinery, as well as the indication of the ammeter and voltmeter on the line, if there is any abnormal phenomenon, you should immediately cut off the power to check, and after the fault is removed, start the line.
(3) When using manual compensator or manual star-delta starter to start the motor, pay special attention to the operation sequence. Be sure to push the handle to the starting position first, and then pull it to the running position after the motor speed is stabilized to prevent equipment and personal accidents caused by misoperation.
(4) The motors on the same line should not be started at the same time. Generally, they should be started one by one from large to small so as not to start too many motors at the same time and the current on the line will be too large. The voltage will be lowered too much, which will cause the motor to start difficult and cause the line to fail or the switchgear to trip.
(5) When starting, if the direction of rotation of the motor is reversed, the power should be cut off immediately and any two of the three phases of the power line should be changed to change the direction of the motor.
