Preparation before starting the motor

Preparation before starting the motor

In order to ensure that the motor starts normally and safely, the following preparations should be made before starting.

(1) Check whether the power supply has power and the voltage is normal. If the power supply voltage is too high or too low, it is not suitable to start.

(2) Whether the starter is normal, such as whether the parts are damaged, whether it is flexible, whether the contact is good, whether the wiring is correct and firm, etc.

(3) whether the size of the fuse specification is appropriate, whether the installation is solid, and whether there is a fuse break or damage.

(4) The motor terminal board joints are not loose or oxidation.

(5) Check the transmission device, such as whether the belt is light and tight, whether the connection is firm, whether the screws and pins of the coupling are tight, etc.

(6) Drive the rotor of the motor and the rotor of the load machinery to see if the rotation is flexible.

(7) Check whether the motor and starter casing are grounded, whether the grounding wire is broken, whether the grounding screw is loose or off, etc.

(8) Move the debris around the motor and remove the dust and grease on the surface of the machine base.

(9) Check whether the load machinery is properly prepared for starting.

(10) For the winding motor in normal operation, observe the eccentric oscillation of the motor slip ring; observe whether the spark of the slip ring is abnormal. Whether the carbon brush on the slip ring should be replaced.
